What is multi-factor authentication? MFA makes sure it’s you logging in to your account. It requires a code (via SMS text) to confirm your login. Never give your code to anyone else. MFA is the first step to setting up your Microsoft 365 account to make sure it stays secure. You may be prompted on an irregular basis to confirm your login, or whenever you login on a new device.  

Get started 

It’s a really easy process to set this up. You will require your mobile for these steps.   

Only follow this process if your email name is like “John Doe” and not “Info” or “Accounts”.  

1. Click this link: https://aka.ms/setupmfa and login with the password for your named login   

2. Click Next on more information required 

3. Enter your Mobile Phone Number and click next 

4. Enter the code you receive via text 

5. Click next.  

6. Click done.  

You’re now finished and can close your browser and return to what you were doing.
